The District has been contacted by residents about a possible scam.  It is reported that the Rancho Murieta CSD has contracted with an outside service to test individuals’ water.  The Rancho Murieta CSD has not contracted with any outside party to test homeowners’ water in the community.  If you are contacted by anyone you do not know and trust who is requesting personal information, do not give it.  CSD respects your privacy and never gives out residents' names and contact information.

If the Rancho Murieta CSD wants to have water tested it pulls the samples with its own certified operations staff and sends the samples to California Laboratory Services in Rancho Cordova for testing.
